Two women were sitting in the doctor’s waiting room comparing notes on their various disorders.
“I want a baby more than anything in the world,” said the first, “but I guess it’s impossible.”
“I used to feel just the same way,” said the second. “But then everything changed. That’s why I’m here. I’m going to have a baby in three months.”
“You must tell me what you did.”
“I went to a faith healer.”
“But I’ve tried that. My husband and I went to one for nearly a year and it didn’t help a bit.”
The other woman smiled and whispered, “Try going alone next time.”

Doug and Bill were at the racetrack.
Doug says, “You know, if you win $600 on a race, the track tells the government.”
Bill says, “Well it could be worse.”
Doug replies, “What could be worse than telling the government you won $600.”
Bill sighs, “Telling your wife.”

Dumbass Of The Day

An FBI agent and an Assistant U.S. Attorney, who were taking a stolen Ferrari into their custody and accidentally totaled the $750,000 sports car seconds after driving it away. The car had been missing for five years. The two men explained that just a few seconds after leaving the parking lot, they went around a curve and the rear of the car began sliding. The agent tried to regain control, but the car fishtailed and slid sideways up onto the curb. The car, one of only 50 in the country was totaled. The insurer is now suing the government, but the U.S. Justice Department says they have no liability in the case.

Jason Valdez, a 36-year-old Utah man, who took the time to update his Facebook status during a standoff with the police. Valdez held a woman hostage at a motel in a tense 16-hour, overnight standoff with SWAT teams, all while finding time to keep his family and friends updated on Facebook. He posted, “I’m currently in a standoff … kinda ugly, but ready for whatever.” He released the hostage several hours later and was arrested by SWAT team members.

Today’s FTW
Erica Alexandra Huerta, 21 and Steven Douglas Perry, 22, a Florida couple who took the literal meaning of the drink “sex-on-the-beach” a little too far. The two decided to conduct their intimate activities on the beach in front of more than 50 restaurant patrons and their children for more than a half hour. The arrest affidavit indicates that alcohol was involved and their little public tryst ended with bail being set at $10,000 each.

An old miser, because of his exceptional thrift, had no friends. Just before he died he called his doctor, lawyer and minister together around his bedside.
“I always heard you can’t take it with you, but I am going to prove you can,” he said. “I have $90,000 in cash under my mattress. It’s in three envelopes of $30,000 each. I want each of you to take one envelope now and just before they throw the dirt on me you throw the envelopes in.”
The three attended the funeral and each threw his envelope into the grave. On the way back from the cemetery, the minister said, “I don’t feel exactly right, I am going to confess, I needed $10,000 badly for a new church we are building, so I took out $10,000 and threw only $20,000 in the grave.”
The doctor said, “I, too, must confess. I am building a clinic and took $20,000 and threw in only $10,000.”
The lawyer said, “Gentlemen, I’m surprised, shocked and ashamed of you. I don’t see how you could hold out that money. I threw in my personal check for the full amount.”

Dumbass Of The Day

James Edward Russell, 39, who escaped from a Washington state prison, then trudged through the woods to a cabin, only to find out the man renting it was an off-duty guard from the prison he just fled. Russell, who was still wearing his prison uniform, went to the cabin, knocked on the door and asked to use the phone. The off-duty guard recognized the red, prison-issue shirt and Russell was arrested after a scuffle and brief chase.

Today’s FTW
Janet Chiauzzi, 44 of New York, whose son didn’t make the little league travel team, so she stalked and harassed an official and sent letters threatening his son, wife and daughter. According to police, Chiauzzi, went so far as to send a letter to a school principal falsely claiming the official was abusing his children. Chiauzzi’s son still isn’t on the team, and now she has a laundry list of stalking charges.

A unidentified 38-year-old man from Washington state, who went into a house and stole a laptop computer, then got caught with his pants down, literally. Deputies found the man in the woods near the house and hollered at him to come out or they would send a dog in after him. He asked if he could put his clothes on first. They said no, so he walked out of the brush wearing just a baseball cap and boots. The man blamed alcohol for his actions, claiming he had “a buzz on.”

A Scottish man was at a baseball game.
It was the first time he had ever seen the sport so he sat quietly. The first batter approached the mound, he took a few swings and then hit a double. Everyone was on their feet screaming “Run, Run.”
This happened two more times, with a single and a triple. The Scottish man was now exited and ready to get into the game.
The next batter came up and four balls went by. The umpire called “walk” and the batter started on a slow trot to first. The Scotchman, extremely excited now, stood up and screamed, “R-R-Run, laddie, rrrun!”
Everyone around him started laughing. So the Scotchman, extremely embarrassed, sat back down. A friendly fan, seeing the Scotchman’s embarrassment, leaned over and said, “He can’t run – he’s got four balls.”
The Scotchman then stood up and screamed, “Walk proudly, man… walk proudly!”

———

A boy was crossing the road one day when a frog called out to him and said, “If you kiss me, I’ll turn into a beautiful princess.”
He bent over, picked up the frog and put it in his pocket.
The frog spoke up again and said, “If you kiss me and turn me back into a beautiful princess, I will stay with you for one week.”
The boy took the frog out of his pocket, smiled at it and returned it to his pocket.
The frog then cried out, “If you kiss me and turn me back into a beautiful princess, I’ll stay with you and do ANYTHING you want.”
Again the boy took the frog out, smiled at it and put it back into his pocket.
Finally, the frog asked, “What is it ? I’ve told you that I’m a beautiful Princess, that I’ll stay with you for a week and do anything you want. Why won’t you kiss me?!?”
The boy said, “Look, I’m a computer programmer. I don’t have time for girlfriends, but a talking frog is really cool.”

Dumbass Of The Day

Today’s FTW
Erik Gotimer, 24, who responded to getting busted for driving a stolen vehicle while smoking marijuana with, “Man, you guys ruined my buzz, can’t smoke no more weed tonight.” In a scene reminiscent of Fast Times at Ridgemont High, an officer said he was “overwhelmed” by the smell of marijuana coming from the car. Now it sounds like jail, might harsh his buzz for a while.

The marketers at Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), who designed the promotion: “Buy a HALF-GALLON (64 oz) Meg Mug soda and $1 goes to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).” That half-gallon of soda contains 800 calories from 56 spoons of sugar. Or should the Genius Award go to JDRF for agreeing to this promotion that promotes diabetes?

The folks who run the city of Portland, OR, who decided to empty all 7.8 million gallons of drinking water after a security camera caught a 21-year-old man peeing in it. The cost of draining the water came to $36,000. As most anyone knows, worse things fall into open-air reservoirs all the time. Heck, ducks swim in them. And where ducks swim, ducks poop. That’s what the extensive filtering system is for. The peer (urinator?) thought it was a sewer drainage system and won’t be charged.

Michael Krebes, 31, who wanted to buy some pot, so he placed an ad on Craigslist. Krebes was taken into custody in the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant where he allegedly went to meet the seller.

A Cajun was stopped by a game warden in Southern Louisiana recently with two ice chests of fish, leaving a bayou well known for its fishing.
The game warden asked the man, “Do you have a license to catch those fish?”
“Naw, ma fren, I ain’t got none of dem, no. Dese here are my pet fish.”
“Pet fish?”
“Ya. Avery night I take dese here fish down to de bayou and let dem swim ’round for a while. Den I whistle and dey jump rat back inta dis here ice chest and I take dem home.”
“That’s a bunch of hooey! Fish can’t do that!”
The Cajun looked at the game warden for a moment and then said, “It’s de truth ma’ fren. I’ll show you. It really works.”
“Okay, I’ve GOT to see this!”
The Cajun poured the fish into the bayou and stood and waited.
After several minutes, the game warden turned to him and said, “Well?”
“Well, what?” Said the Cajun.
“When are you going to call them back?”
“Call who back?”
“The FISH!”
“What fish?”

Dumbass Of The Day

Shawn Smith, a 33-year-old Florida man, who was simultaneously eating chicken, using a cell phone and driving when he almost plowed into a police car while attempting a U-turn. Oh… and his car was filled with drugs and guns.

Today’s FTW
A 17-year-old Canadian teen who was texting and trying to corral a pet while driving at a high rate of speed, causing her to hit another car, propelling it into a boat, which was then pushed into a house and yet another car. The pile up caused more than $100,000 in damage. We’re guessing she won’t be LOLing for awhile.

Oklahoma man Dakota Lasley, 18, who left a trail of food from a restaurant robbery to his home, making it easy for police to apprehend him. Officers were investigating a break-in and found a shattered glass door and a man inside the restaurant. The suspect fled, but left a food trail of foot-long hotdogs, hotdog buns, chicken breasts and corn dogs. Police also found fresh blood on Lasley’s hands and fingers and shattered glass in the soles of his shoes. Lasley told officers he “could have blacked out from drinking and done something stupid.” We agree.

A 12 year old boy was walking down the street when a car pulled up beside him and the window rolled down.
“I’ll give you a bag of candy if you get in the car” said the driver.
“No way” replied the boy
“How about a bag of candy and $10” said the driver.
“I said no way replied the irritated youngster.
“What about a bag of candy and $50?” quizzed the driver, still rolling slowly to keep up with the young boy.
“No, I’m not getting in the car!” answered the boy.
“OK, Ok, I know what you want. I’ll give you $100 and a bag of candy” replied the driver.
“NO!” screamed the boy.
“What will it take for you to get in the car?” asked the driver with a long sigh.
The boy replied, “Listen Dad, you bought the Volvo, you live with it!”

Dumbass Of The Day

The Miami Herald, which ran a Macy’s ad that congratulated the Miami Heat as “NBA Champions,” even though Miami lost Game 6 of the NBA finals and the series to the Dallas Mavericks Sunday night. The ad ran just below a headline that said: “Game 6: Mavericks 105, Heat 95.” What made this mistake even more unusual was that the Heat trailed the series three games to two before Sunday and weren’t even in a position to clinch. So there was no reason to have the “Heat wins” ad ready.

Today’s FTW
Organizers of the inaugural Houston Beer Festival, who learned that it’s not smart to sell 20,000 tickets for a venue that holds only 12,000 people, especially when beer is involved. Several attendees had to be treated for heat exhaustion, a result of standing in a line for up to an hour in the 90+ degree heat, just to get inside the festival’s sole entrance.

Joke Of The Day
Email jokes to therock@hubcityradio.com

A man staggers into an emergency room with two black eyes and a golf club wrapped tightly around his throat. Naturally the doctor asks him what happened.
“Well, it was like this,” said the man. “I was having a quiet round of golf with my wife when she sliced her ball into a pasture of cows. We went to look for it and while I was rooting around, I noticed one of the cows had something white at its rear end. I walked over and lifted up the tail and sure enough, there was my wife’s golf ball… stuck right in the middle of the cow’s butt. That’s when I made my mistake.”
“What did you do?” asks the doctor.
“Well, I lifted the tail and yelled to my wife, ‘Hey, this looks like yours!'”

—–
One day a guy on a vacation heard of an Indian with an amazing memory, so he decided to visit the Indian and see what the big deal was.
He went to the Indian and asked him, “What did you eat for breakfast on July 2, 1961?”
The Indian replied, “Eggs.”
The same man came back 10 years later to see the Indian again. He greeted him by saying, “How.”
The Indian said, “Fried.”

Dumbass Of The Day

Allan James Waters, 37, a former Orange County, CA Sheriff’s deputy who arrived drunk at his court hearing for drunk driving charges.

Alan Buckley, 44, from England, who was visiting his child in an Orlando hospital, but took some time off to take pictures beneath a woman’s skirt at a local Target store. Buckley told police he wasn’t thinking clearly because his child is ill.

Today’s FTW
Karleena Lorren Kempf, 35, who drove off without paying for gas eight separate times in one month from the same Illinois gas station. The store manager finally got her license plate number off her white Saturn and called the cops. Kempf admitted that she took the gasoline because she didn’t have money to pay for it, and her boyfriend made her do it. It’s actually hard to determine who the real “genius” is here: the driver or the store manager who let it happen eight separate times. It sounds like someone needs to think about the pay-before-you-pump policy.

Christopher Tisley, 34, who tried to rob a convenience store … of 99 cents. Tisley demanded 99 cents from a store clerk. When the clerk refused, he displayed a handgun. The clerk still refused, so he exited the store. He returned and repeatedly pounded on the windows of the store, after the clerk locked him out. Tisley was arrested a short time later with 3 grams of methamphetamine.

An American is having breakfast one morning (coffee, croissants, bread, butter and jam) when a Frenchman, chewing gum, sits down next to him.
The American ignores the Frenchman who, nevertheless, starts a conversation.
“You American folk eat the whole bread?”
American (in a bad mood): “Of course.”
French: (after blowing a huge bubble) “We don’t. In France, we only eat what’s inside. The crusts we collect in a container, recycle it, transform them into croissants and sell them to the States.”
The Frenchman has a smirk on his face. The American listens in silence.
The Frenchman persists: “Do you eat jelly with the bread?”
American: “Of course.”
Frenchman: (cracking his gum between his teeth and chuckling). “We don’t. In France we eat fresh fruit for breakfast, then we put all the peels, seeds, and leftovers in containers, recycle them, transform them into jam and sell the jam to the States.”
The American then asks: “Do you have sex in France?”
Frenchman: “Why of course we do”, he says with a big smirk.
American: “And what do you do with the condoms once you’ve used them?”
Frenchman: “We throw them away, of course.”
American: “We don’t. In America, we put them in a container, recycle them, melt them down into chewing gum and sell them to France.”

Dumbass Of The Day

Today’s CO-FTW
Todd Blauvelt, Jr., an 18-year-old New York man, who moved his girlfriend’s family into a fancy 6,000-square-foot vacation home that belonged to someone else. Blauvelt was trying to impress the parents of his 15-year-old girlfriend and claimed he inherited the home from his grandfather. All was going well until the actual owners showed up. Blauvelt was charged with burglary, sexual misconduct and endangering the welfare of a child (his 15-year-old girlfriend).

Eric Arthur Efaw, 33, who secretly placed a video camera in a Starbucks Café unisex restroom. When the manager of the Starbucks alerted authorities, detectives reviewed the video and noticed Efaw forgot to shut off the camera when removing it from another restroom and got a clear shot of his license plate while placing it in the trunk of his car. Oops.

Today’s CO-FTW
North Carolina Senator Don East, who bragged about a 144 mph joyride with his buddy, Senator Stan Bingham, then claimed immunity because the comments were made on the Senate floor. Senator East quoted a state law saying, “Members shall have freedom of speech and debate in the General Assembly, and shall not be liable to impeachment or question, in any court or place out of the General Assembly, for words therein spoken.”

Robert Eugene Craver, 34, who was on his way to court for a reckless driving charge and collided head-on with another vehicle. The police report says Craver swerved into the wrong lane quickly after appearing to look down in the truck “like he was looking down to pick up a phone or something.”

Joke Of The Day
Email jokes to therock@hubcityradio.com

Two guys are walking through the woods and come across a big deep hole.
“Wow, that looks deep.”
“Sure does! Toss a few pebbles in there and see how deep it is.” They pick up a few pebbles and throw them in and wait, but there is no noise.
“Jeeez. That is really deep. Here, throw one of those great big rocks down there. That should make a noise.”
They pick up a couple of football-sized rocks and toss them into the hole and wait. They wait, and wait, but again hear nothing.
They look at each other in amazement. One gets a determined look on his face and says, “Hey, over here in the weeds, there’s a railroad tie. Help me carry it over here. When we toss that in, it’s got to make some noise!”
The two drag the heavy tie over to the hole and heave it in. Not a sound comes from the hole.
Suddenly, out of the nearby woods, a goat appears, running like the wind. It rushes toward the two men, then right past them, running as fast as its legs will carry it. Suddenly it leaps in the air and into the hole.
The two men are astonished with what they’ve just seen.
Then, out of the woods comes a farmer who spots the men and ambles over. “Hey! You two guys seen my goat out here?”
“You bet we did! Craziest thing I’ve ever seen. It came running like crazy and just jumped into this hole!”
“Nah,” says the farmer, “that couldn’t have been mine. My goat was chained to a railroad tie.”

Dumbass Of The Day

A Bank of America branch in Massachusetts, which sent a homeowner a foreclosure notice warning him that his property would end up in foreclosure if he didn’t immediately pay the amount of … zero dollars and zero cents. Bank of America says that a bank error was applying the homeowner’s payments “to the wrong section of the account.” Oops.

A 29-year-old Ohio man who crashed a party and then threatened partygoers after being asked to leave. The man returned to the party with a shotgun and repeatedly tried to cock the weapon but failed each time. Police revealed the intoxicated party crasher had placed the shotgun shells in backwards.

Today’s FTW
Travis Huffman, a 25-year-old Texas man, who misdialed and accidentally sent a text containing the details of a drug deal to a cop. The text message ended up on the phone of a law man who met Huffman in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart, where he was promptly arrested. The police also headed to the home Huffman shared with his mother, Kimberly “Butterbean” Meadows, 43. She was found to be in possession of some weed and then got chatty with the cops and told them she had given her son the drugs to sell. Now mom and son are in jail.

Florida man, Ramsey Charles Sheard, 21, who accidentally left a trail of paint that led cops right back to him after he vandalized more than 20 cars in his neighborhood. Sheard, who was angry over a personal issue, slashed tires, covered several vehicles with paint and set another vehicle on fire. Police had no problem finding Sheard, since he left the paint trail all the way to his garage. Police say Sheard still had paint on his clothes when he was being questioned.

An elderly gent was invited to his old friend’s home for dinner one evening. He was impressed by the way his buddy preceded every request to his wife with endearing terms … Honey, My Love, Darling, Sweetheart, Pumpkin etc. The couple had been married almost 70 years and, clearly, they were still very much in love.
While the wife was in the kitchen, the man leaned over and said to his host, “I think it’s wonderful that, after all these years, you still call your wife those loving pet names.”
“I really have no choice,” the old man replied, “I forgot her name about 10 years ago.”

Dumbass Of The Day

Today’s FTW
Jena Liberty, 48, who locked herself out of her car. So, naturally, to get help getting back inside, she started a brush fire. She claims the freeway callbox was disconnected and thought setting a nearby hillside on fire would get attention. She was right. She got the attention of police and fire officials. The fire burned about a half-acre of brush before it was put out. She was arrested on suspicion of arson.

A 42-year-old Kansas man who was texting while driving and slammed into the back of another car, which just happened to be … a police cruiser. The police officer had stopped to assist another motorist when the man, traveling close to 60 MPH, hit the cruiser with his SUV. An investigation revealed the driver had a partial text on his cell phone at the time of the collision.

Dan Rather, Jesse Jackson, Cokie Roberts, and an American Marine were hiking through the jungle one day when they were captured by cannibals. They were tied up, led to the village and brought before the chief. The chief said,
“I am familiar with your western custom of granting the condemned a last wish. Before we kill and eat you, do you have any last requests?”
Dan Rather said, “Well, I’m a Texan; so I’d like one last bowl full of hot, spicy chili.”
The chief nodded to an underling, who left and returned with the chili. Rather ate it all and said, “Now I can die content.”
Jesse Jackson said, “You know, the thing in this life I am proudest of is my work on behalf of the poor and oppressed. So before I go, I want to sing “We Shall Overcome” one last time.”
The chief said, “Go right ahead, we’re listening.” Jackson sang the song, and then said, “Now I can die in peace.”
Cokie Roberts said, “I’m a reporter to the end. I want to take out my tape recorder and describe the scene here and what’s about to happen. Maybe someday someone will hear it and know that I was on the job til the end.”
The chief directed an aide to hand over the tape recorder, and Roberts dictated some comments. She then said, “Now I can die happy.”
The chief turned and said, “And now, Mr. Marine, what is your final wish?”
“Kick me in the butt,” said the Marine.
“What?” said the chief. “Will you mock us in your last hour?”
“No, I’m not kidding. I want you to kick me in the butt,” insisted the Marine.
So the chief shoved him into the open, and kicked him in the butt. The Marine went sprawling, but rolled to his knees, pulled a 9mm pistol from his waistband, and shot the chief dead. In the resulting confusion, he grabbed his knapsack, pulled out his M4 carbine, and sprayed the cannibals with gunfire. In a flash, the cannibals were dead or fleeing for their lives.
As the Marine was untying the others, they asked him, “Why didn’t you just shoot them? Why did you ask them to kick you in the butt?”
“What!?” said the Marine, “And have you liberal losers call ME the aggressor?”

Dumbass Of The Day

Today’s FTW
Joseph Hayes, 48 of Tennessee, who became upset at a child’s birthday party and began yelling, “Y’all didn’t save my kids no damn ice cream and cake!” He left and returned with a small black handgun tucked into the back of his pants, and told the party host, “I ain’t scared to go to jail, just take care of my kids.”

A German girl, who wanted to invite some Facebook friends to her 16th birthday party, but forgot to mark the invitation private and nearly 1,500 guests showed up. It took almost 100 police officers, some on horses, to keep the crowd under control. Eleven people were temporarily detained, one police officer was injured, dozens of girls wearing flip-flops cut their feet on broken glass and firefighters had to extinguish two small fires.

Yovonda Denise Bennafield, 32 of Virginia, who let a total stranger borrow her car to take her two young boys to the park and was surprised when the kids and her car ended up in another state. Bennafield was working as a clerk at a gas station when an unknown woman entered the store, purchased a pack of cigarettes and asked to use the phone to call someone to drive her to North Carolina. Bennafield offered to drive the woman at the end of her shift if the woman would watch her sons until she got off work. Police arrested the woman in North Carolina and then arrested Bemmafield for leaving her two children unattended in her car for several hours and then allowing a stranger to take her children.
