Joke Of The Day

Email jokes to therock@hubcityradio.com

A doctor was addressing a large audience in Tampa.
“The material we put into our stomachs is enough to have killed most of us sitting here, years ago. Red meat is awful. Soft drinks corrode your stomach lining. Chinese food is loaded with MSG. High fat diets can be disastrous, and none of us realizes the long-term harm caused by the germs in our drinking water. However, there is one thing that is the most dangerous of all and we all have eaten, or will eat it. Can anyone here tell me what food it is that causes the most grief and suffering for years after eating it?”
After several seconds of quiet, a 75-year-old man in the front row raised his hand, and softly said, “Wedding Cake.”

Dumbass Of The Day

A 40 year-old Illinois man who complained he was being ignored by police, so he stripped and ran naked through a restaurant parking lot, demanding to know about the dedication of Bears quarterback Jay Cutler. A deputy reported the man was yelling obscenities and threats, but really wanted to know, “Do you think Jay Cutler gave up?” Cutler is the Chicago Bears quarterback who sat out the second half of the NFC championship game with a knee injury. Deputies wrestled with the man who was taken to a nearby hospital.

Mike Hamby, 51, a Houston Police officer who was relieved of duty after throwing a tear gas canister at fellow competitors during a barbecue cook-off at a Houston rodeo, causing several people to fall ill. The 29-year veteran officer was previously the subject to seven internal affairs investigations for allegations including misconduct and improper police procedure.

Antonio Owens, 27, who got into an argument with his girlfriend, then grabbed a knife and said he was going to cut the gas line and burn down the place. But in his struggle to get the stove away from the wall, they both realized it was electric, not gas, so he stabbed her instead. Apparently they didn’t do a lot of cooking when they weren’t busy arguing. Owens then punched a hole in a flat-screen TV and left. He was arrested a short time later.

Today’s FTW
The family of Tracy Hottenstein, 35, who is suing everybody after Tracy died following a February “Polar Bear Plunge” event in New Jersey. Her family is suing Sea Isle City, where the event occurred, its police department, the hospital, the doctor who pronounced her dead, restaurants, paramedics, friends, and others. But Tracy Hottenstein didn’t even participate in the event. She went out afterwards, got drunk, left a bar without her coat at 2:15am, and fell off a boat dock into the water.
