Two men from Arkansas are walking along 2nd Avenue in Manhattan and they see a sign which reads: “Suits $7.00 each, Shirts $2.00 each, Trousers $4.50 per pair”.
Bubba says to his pal, Billy Ray, “LOOK! We could buy a whole lot of those, and when we get back home we could make a fortune. Now when we go into the shop, you be quiet, okay? Just let me do all the talking ’cause if they hear our accent, they might not serve us. I’ll speak in my best New York accent.”
They go in and Bubba says, “I want to buy 50 suits at $7.00 each, 100 shirts at $2.00 each and 50 pairs of trousers at $4.50 each. I’ll back up my pickup and …”
The owner of the shop interrupts, “You’re from Arkansas, aren’t you?”
“I sure am,” says a surprised Bubba. “How come you know that?”
The owner says, “This is a dry-cleaners.”

Dumbass Of The Day

Miklos Antal, 28, who had a hot date and needed condoms, but was also low on cash. Maybe that’s why he tried to walk out of a British pub with the condom machine under his jacket. After he was apprehended by police he received a lifetime ban from the establishment.

Tyler Bryan, 25, a cab driver who allegedly told police he thought he was driving a snowmobile after his cab ended up stuck in a snowbank. Bryan, who was drunk, boasted to police that ‘his uncles,’ “Rescue Me” co-stars Denis Leary and Lenny Clarke would save the day for him. Neither star could not be reached to bail the cabbie out of jail.

Rita Faye Zambrano, 45, who was not pleased when she glanced out her front door and saw police arresting her brother. So she turned around, dropped her pants and showed the officers the moon. Police were not pleased and arrested her for indecent exposure.

Dallas Police officers Theadora Ross and Malva R. Delley, who were caught stealing from the “Crime Stoppers” program that Ross headed. The two were indicted for pilfering at least $250,000 by authorizing payment for bogus tip information and coordinating with Delley to collect the payments, which the two later shared.

Joke Of The Day
Email jokes to therock@hubcityradio.com

One fine September day a guy was out raking leaves when he noticed a hearse slowly drive by. Following the first hearse was a second hearse, which was followed by a man walking solemnly along, followed by a dog and then about 200 men walking in single file.
Intrigued, Bill went up to the man following the second hearse and asked him who was in the first hearse.
“My wife,” the man replied.
“I’m sorry,” said Bill. “What happened to her?”
“My dog bit her and she died.”
Bill then asked the man who was in the second hearse. The man replied, “My mother-in-law. My dog bit her and she died as well.”
Bill thought about this for a while. He finally asked the man, “Can I borrow your dog?”
To which the man replied, “Get in line.”

Dumbass Of The Day

Jona Zeigler, 40, who tried to elude police by jumping from her truck while it was still moving, but ended up getting run over by it. Police say, Zeigler tried getting out of her vehicle as it was rolling, tripped and was dragged underneath her vehicle. The truck stopped on a neighboring lawn and Zeigler was taken to a nearby hospital.

Today’s FTW
Randi Goldklank, 42, an advertising executive for a West Palm Beach, FL TV station, who apparently got a little too drunk and started acting like an exotic dancer in a restaurant. Police say Goldklank was touching herself inappropriately, removing her top and dancing on a pole like a stripper. Restaurant staff asked her to leave but called the police when she refused to go. She told the arresting officer repeatedly that if he did not let her go he’d be on the news, since she works for CH-12.

An unidentified 27-year-old Australian woman who was pulled over by police on suspicion of drunk driving. Her excuse? She was in labor. Besides the fact that her blood alcohol limit was twice the legal limit, and driving in the opposite direction of the hospital, she wasn’t alone in the car. Not only were there four other adults in the car, but also a 2-year-old, who wasn’t even in a car seat.

Andreas Muller, 39, who allowed his private parts to be tattooed with the word “mini” to win a radio station contest. Muller did win the brand new $32,000 Mini Cooper by coming up with the wildest Mini-related stunt to earn the vehicle. During the live broadcast, listeners heard his pained exclamations during the tattoo process. He will now have a permanent reminder on his manhood, long after the car is gone.

A hillbilly went hunting one day in Oklahoma and bagged three ducks. He put them in the bed of his pickup truck and was about to drive home when he was confronted by an ornery game warden who didn’t like hillbillies.
The game warden ordered to the hillbilly to show his hunting license, and the hillbilly pulled out a valid Oklahoma hunting license.
The game warden looked at the license, then reached over and picked up one of the ducks, sniffed its butt, and said “This duck ain’t from Oklahoma. This is a Kansas duck. You got a Kansas huntin’ license, boy?”
The hillbilly reached into his wallet and produced a Kansas hunting license.
The game warden looked at it, then reached over and grabbed the second duck, sniffed its butt, and said, “This ain’t no Kansas duck. This duck’s from Arkansas. You got an Arkansas license?”
The hillbilly reached into his wallet and produced an Arkansas hunting license.
The warden then reached over and picked up the third duck, sniffed its butt, and said, “This ain’t no Arkansas duck. This here duck’s from South Carolina. You got a South Carolina huntin’ license?”
Again, the hillbilly reached into his wallet and brought out a South Carolina hunting license.
The game warden was extremely frustrated at this point, and he yelled at the hillbilly “Just where the hell are you from?”
The hillbilly turned around, bent over, dropped his pants, and said, “You tell me! You’re the expert!”

Dumbass Of The Day

38 year-old Joshua Seal and 36-year-old Bradley Marshall, who kidnapped Seal’s son-in-law and demanded money. When the son-in-law, Allen Begley, called several friends but couldn’t raise the money, the kidnappers decided to accept an Xbox 360, in exchange for Begley. Both sides then met at a convenience store, where the exchange was made and then Begley called police who later rounded up the kidnappers.

Today’s FTW
A British couple who followed their car’s GPS directly into a rural church in Southern Germany. The GPS had directed them to turn right despite there being no road. The couple turned off the country lane and plowed straight into a rural village church near the Austrian border, totaling the car and causing $42,000 to the church.

Melanie Spanopoulos, 20, who got into an argument with a friend. When the friend refused to get back in the car with her, she ran the friend over, not once but twice. The (former) friend was later seen at a local hospital and was treated for a broken pelvis, broken leg and numerous abrasions.

An unidentified 46-year-old substitute teacher who began swearing and screaming at students in her sixth-grade class and then passed out at her desk. The teacher told deputies, she had taken medication the night before and had consumed a couple of glasses of wine before coming to school. A container of alcohol was found in her purse.

A man inherited a little over a billion dollars. He told his three sons that since he now had all this money, he would like to know what each of them would like to have. He stressed that money was no object.
His first son said that he had always wanted a Jaguar. The father went out, and since money was no object, bought him 7 Jaguars in different colors, so he would have a different one to drive every day of the week.
His second son said that he had always wanted a motorcycle. So the father went out, and again since money was no object, bought him 30 new motorcycles, 10 dirt bikes, 10 hogs, and 10 touring bikes, so he would have a different bike to ride every day of the month.
His third and youngest son was only 8 years old. So the little guy said that he simply had wanted a Mickey Mouse outfit.
So, money being no object, his father went out and bought his son Sunny 97.7

Dumbass Of The Day

Jennifer Maldonado, 27, who banged on the front door and rang the door bell of a neighbor late one night, claiming she needed milk for her 1-year-old baby. But she left her baby alone in her Deltona, Florida home, right next to a shotgun. When deputies arrested her, she reportedly said, “What’s the big deal? I could see my house the entire time.”

Doreen was standing in the kitchen, preparing our usual soft-boiled eggs and toast for breakfast, wearing only the ‘T’ shirt that she normally slept in.
As I walked in, almost awake, she turned to me and said softly, you’ve got to make love to me this very moment!”
My eyes lit up and I thought, “I am either still dreaming or this is going to be my lucky day!”
Not wanting to lose the moment, I embraced her and then gave it my all; right there on the kitchen table.
Afterwards she said, “Thanks,” and returned to the stove, her T-shirt still around her neck.
Happy, but a little puzzled, I asked, “What was that all about?”
She explained,  “The egg timer’s broken.”

Dumbass Of The Day

Today’s FTW
Leo J. Powers, 23, who didn’t want to clear large banks of snow from his Michigan home, so he blew them up. When police and fire officials arrived at his house, they discovered a container filled with “military-grade ammunition” he used to blow up the snow banks to avoid shoveling them.

Ismael Ortiz, 24, who torched a Florida home, but made one crucial mistake: he left the tip of his finger at the scene of the crime. Police found a piece of a latex glove at the arson site with the tip of Ortiz’s finger inside. Ortiz slammed his finger in the door while he was in a hurry fleeing after setting the fire.

A Mount Carmel, Ohio, man who was injured and damaged his apartment after he set it on fire while trying to kill bedbugs with rubbing alcohol as he was smoking a cigarette.

A man walks into a restaurant with a full-grown ostrich behind him. The waitress asks the man for his order.
The man says, “A hamburger, fries and a coke,” and turns to the ostrich. “‘What’s yours?”
“I’ll have the same,” says the ostrich.
A short time later the waitress returns with the order.
“That will be $9.40 please.”
And the man reaches into his pocket and pulls out the exact change for payment.
The next day, the man and the ostrich come again and the man says, “A hamburger, fries and a coke.”
The ostrich says, “I’ll have the same.”
Again the man reaches into his pocket and pays with exact change.
This becomes routine until the two enter again. “The usual?” asks the waitress.
“No, this is Friday night, so I will have a steak, baked potato and a salad,” says the man
“Same,” says the ostrich.
Shortly the waitress brings the order and says, “That will be $32.62.”
Once again the man pulls the exact change out of his pocket and places it on the table. The waitress cannot hold back her curiosity any longer.
Excuse me, sir. How do you manage to always come up with the exact change in your pocket every time?”
“Well,” says the man, “several years ago I was cleaning the attic and found an old lamp. When I rubbed it, a Genie appeared and offered me two wishes. My first wish was that if I ever had to pay for anything, I would just put my hand in my pocket and the right amount of money would always be there.”
“That’s brilliant!’ says the waitress. ‘Most people would ask for a million dollars or something, but you’ll always be as rich as you want for as long as you live!”
“That’s right. Whether it’s a gallon of milk or a Rolls Royce, the exact money is always there,” says the man.
The waitress asks, “What’s with the ostrich?”
The man sighs, pauses and answers, “My second wish was for a tall chick with a big butt and long legs who agrees with everything I say.”

Today’s FTW
Edward Hall III, 24, who was so desperate to get on a San Francisco-bound flight that he hopped over the check-in counter and rode the luggage carousel into a secure area. Hall couldn’t produce a photo ID and was turned away by the TSA. Hall then asked a dumbfounded ticket agent, “Can you put me in a suitcase and send me down the baggage belt?”

Juliana Sossa, 25, who updated her Facebook account to include her new address and helped police track both her and her boyfriend, who was wanted in a shooting. Police arrested Sossa and her boyfriend, Jose Jorge Balderas Garza, who is under suspicion for the shooting of a Paraguayan soccer player.

Marc Higgins, 21, who stabbed four people at a party (one fatally), because they made fun of his flatulence. Higgins became angry and belligerent when they mocked him for being gassy. An enraged and “very drunk” Higgins stormed out of the first-floor apartment, only to return later with three knives.

Timothy Keith Heidenreich, 39, who placed a phone call from jail asking a friend to help move “at $15,000 (worth of) stuff.” Police used that information to arrest “the friend” and another man while they were driving a van containing some of the items stolen in a burglary.

An elderly couple was on a cruise and it was really stormy. They were standing on the back of the boat watching the moon, when a wave came up and washed the old woman overboard.
They searched for days and couldn’t find her, so the captain sent the old man back to shore with the promise that he would notify him as soon as they found something.
Three weeks went by and finally the old man got a fax from the boat. It read: “Sir, sorry to inform you, we found your wife dead at the bottom of the ocean. We hauled her up to the deck and attached to her butt was an oyster with a pearl worth $50,000 …. please advise”
The old man faxed back: “Send me the pearl and re-bait the trap”

Dumbass Of The Day

Lonnie Michael Felts, 42, who apparently wanted companionship for the evening, so he dialed 911 and requested a hooker. After an officer warned Felts about misusing the system, he made two more calls.

Todays FTW
Johnnie Butts, who tried to sell some fake gold jewelry to William Pace at a grocery store. Butts picked the wrong person to swindle, since Pace owns a jewelry store and just so happens to be the town’s police chief.

Margaret Anne Stritzinger, 48, who pulled up next to police officers, rolled down her window and told the officer she smelled like wine and garlic. Stritzinger initially agreed to take a breath test, but then refused to answer yes or no, saying she “could not remember what her friends at Jimbob’s Pub told her to do.” Stritzinger had her 14-year-old daughter in the car with her at the time. Great example, mom.

Preston Hanlon, 27, who robbed a bank at gunpoint and then hopped on a public bus to make his getaway. Hanlon had previously been charged through the years in arrests for breach of peace and reckless driving.

A man moved into a nudist colony. He received a letter from his grandmother asking him to send her a current photo of himself at his new location.
Too embarrassed to let her know that he lives in a nudist colony, he cuts the photo in half, but accidentally sends the bottom half of the photo.
He is really worried when he realizes that he sent the wrong half, but then remembers how bad his grandmother’s eyesight is, and hopes she won’t notice.
A few weeks later he receives a letter from his grandmother.
It says, “Thank you for the picture. But, change your hair style … it makes your nose look too short.”

Dumbass Of The Day

Amy Bobkovich, 38, who managed to receive three speeding tickets in the span of about one hour. The first ticket was for driving 55-mph in a 35-mph zone. The second ticket came just 10 minutes later by a different officer. The third ticket was issued about an hour after the first one. Oddly enough, Bobkovich had not received a speeding ticket in seven years prior to the three she received in one hour.

David Diaz, 19, Waldo Soroa, 19, and Matrix Andaluz, 18, who broke into a home and stole a variety of items including a container of what they thought contained crushed pills, so they tasted and snorted it. They were in fact the cremated remains of the home owner’s father and the ashes of her two pet Great Danes. It wasn’t until the teens saw the article in the paper that they realized what was in the container.

A Russian woman who believed her husband to be sleeping for four days before she realized he was dead. It wasn’t until his wife noticed “putrid spots” on his body four days later that she notified authorities.

This guy was shopping at Target and came across a shiny silver thermos. He was quite fascinated by it and asked a clerk what it was.
The clerk said, “Why, that’s a thermos. It keeps hot things hot and cold things cold.”
So, he bought the thermos and took it to work the next day.
His boss saw it on his desk and asked, “What’s that?”
“Why, it’s a thermos. It keeps hot things hot and cold things cold,” he replied.
“Wow, that’s amazing,” said the boss. “What do you have in it?”
Two Popsicles and some coffee.”

The Suffolk Superior Crown Court in Boston, that ruled Sal Esposito must appear for jury duty, even after learning that Sal is a cat. Despite owner Anna Esposito’s insistence that a mistake has been made, a jury commissioner ruled that Sal must appear. Anna wrote Sal’s name under ‘pets’ on the last census.

An unidentified Missoula, Montana man who was so distracted by the loud music in his car that he didn’t notice the freight train moving toward him. He wasn’t injured, but his wrecked car will be playing the blues.

Richard Gervasi, 43, a Florida tourist who ran into traffic while completely nude yelling he was “king of the world.” He had to be tased after refusing to stop. One zap didn’t stop him, so the deputy tased Gervasi a second time. While waiting for paramedics, Gervasi kept yelling “I’m king of the world” and “I’m made of steel.” He also admitted to the deputies that he’d taken LSD and had been drinking.

Stephanie Six, 29, who slapped a police horse in the nose while the animal and its mounted officer were trying to control crowds. She was charged with battery and was released later that day.

As an airplane is about to crash, a female passenger jumps up frantically and announces, “If I’m going to die, I want to die feeling like a woman.”
She removes all her clothing and asks, “Is there someone on this plane who is man enough to make me feel like a woman?”
A man stands up, removes his shirt and says, “Here, iron this.”

A doctor at an insane asylum decided to take his patients to a baseball game. For weeks in advance, he coached his patients to respond to his commands. When the day of the game arrived, everything seemed to be going well.
As the National Anthem started, the doctor yelled, “Up Nuts!” … and all the patients stood up.
After the Anthem, he yelled “Down Nuts!” … and they all sat down in their seats.
After a home run was hit, the doctor yelled, “Cheer Nuts!” … They all broke out in applause and cheered.
When the umpire made a bad call against the home team, the doctor yelled,”Boo Nuts!” … and they all started booing and cat calling.
Thinking everything was going well, the doctor decided to go get a beer and a hot dog, leaving his assistant in charge. When he returned, there was a riot in progress. Finding his assistant, the doctor asked, “What in the world happened?”
The assistant replied, “Everything was going just fine till a vendor passed by and yelled “PEANUTS!”

Today’s FTW
Nicholas Brown, 42, who saved for 10 years to buy his dream car, then lost his license after being caught speeding the first time he took it out for a drive. Brown bought a classic Porsche, to fulfill a boyhood dream. On his way home from the dealership, he was clocked by police at 106 mph. Brown already had several previous infractions on his driving record, so he will lose his license for eight weeks.

Tavian Jamar Canady who was shot by one of his own accomplices in a botched robbery. The law says someone taking part in a crime can be charged with anything that transpires, Canady had been charged with three shootings authorities don’t think he committed, including that of himself.

An unknown burglar who broke into a Boca Raton, Florida apartment to redecorate the living room. Officers say an unknown person entered the apartment in question and moved a couch. Nothing was taken during the break-in and no one was injured.

An Australian couple whose bizarre decision to ride inflatable sex dolls down a flood-swollen river in Australia went wrong when the 19-year-old woman lost her latex playmate. Police were called to the rescue when the woman and a man ran into trouble on the river while floating on the two dolls. The incident prompted a warning from police, “Blow-up sex toys are not to be used as flotation devices.”
