Your Daily Adjustment

Adjusting your day….you bad, bad boy.

If You Missed It 5/25/2010

Chair Watch 2010
Day 6
I’m calling out complete bulls&^t.  We have chairs in our studio.  Most of these chairs are old or holding together with super glue or about ready to fall apart. Well one in The Rock studio took a dump and we don’t have any spare chairs to go around.  I have a bad back and have had 3 major back surgeries so I can’t be on my feet for more then a few hours (hence why I work in radio).  Management has told us that our studios are standing studios and there not going to buy us new chairs because apparently we break too many chairs.  Yes, we sit back here and try to break the chairs…..you know us….
Its complete bulls$%t so I’m starting Chair Watch 2010. I’ll count how many days it takes for people to get pissed at me and buy the on air staff new chairs.  So far 6 days have gone by…

Pictures from last nights concert are coming soon.  Check the FB site or hubcityradio.com.

If you missed The Morning Rokit on 94.1 The Rock this morning, you missed……….

Joke Of The Day

A man was leaving a convenience store with his morning coffee when he noticed a most unusual funeral procession approaching the nearby cemetery.
A black hearse was followed by a second black hearse about 50 feet behind the first one.
Behind the second hearse was a solitary man walking a dog on a leash.
Behind him, a short distance back, were about 200 men walking single file.
The man couldn’t stand the curiosity.
He respectfully approached the man walking the dog and said, “I am so sorry for your loss, and this may be a bad time to disturb you, but I’ve never seen a funeral like this. Whose funeral is it?”
    “My wife’s.”
    ”What happened to her?”
The man replied, “My dog attacked and killed her.”
He inquired further, “But who is in the second hearse?”
The man answered, “My mother-in-law. She was trying to help my wife when the dog turned on her.”
A very poignant and touching moment, of brotherhood and silence, passed between the two men.
    “Can I borrow the dog?”
The man replied, “Get in line.”

 Dumbass Of The Day

Today’s FTW
20-year-old Anthony Brandon Gonzales, who wore a mask to burglarize a home but failed to cover the words “East Side” tattooed on his upper lip and “13” tattooed on his chin in the shape of a goatee. The tattoos were visible to a witness even though Gonzales was wearing the mask. Police said his distinctive tattoo led to the charge, saying, “it’s hard to miss him.”

34-year-old Anthony Dodson, who attacked his girlfriend with a meat cleaver during an argument over the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. According to a criminal complaint, Dodson said, “I’ll show you crazy.” He then pulled a meat cleaver off the living room wall and held it to his girlfriend’s face… right in front of her two children. Dodson is charged with making terroristic threats, reckless endangerment and harassment.

Shawn Leslie, who parked and left his 1994 Mercury Cougar, containing his father’s and grandfather’s ashes, behind a Wisconsin diner for more than six months. Wausau police say everything in the car was tossed before the towing company crushed it. Leslie says he thought the car was safe when he parked it in a lot behind a Wausau diner. He says the lot’s owner gave him permission to park while he was out of town driving a truck for a living, but the lot’s manager, Ray Burris, says the owner never gave Leslie permission, and he called the police after the vehicle sat for more than six months. Then he had it towed.
