Chair Watch 2010
Day 2
So I’m calling out complete bulls&^t.  We have chairs in our studio.  Most of these chairs are old or holding together with super glue or about ready to fall apart. Well one in The Rock studio took a dump yesterday and we don’t have any spare chairs to go around.  I have a bad back and have had 3 major back surgeries so I can’t be on my feet for more then a few hours (hence why I work in radio).  Managment has told us that our studios are standing studios and there not going to buy us new chairs because aparently we break too many chairs.  Yes, we sit back here and try to break the chairs…..you know us….
Its complete bulls$%t so I’m starting Chair Watch 2010. I’ll count how many days it takes for people to get pissed at me and buy the on air staff new chairs.  So far 2 days have gone by…

Joke Of The Day

An Irishman, an Italian, and a Polish guy are in a bar. They are having a good time and all agree that the bar is a nice place.
Then the Irishman says, “Aye, this is a nice bar, but where I come from, back in Dublin, there’s a better one. At MacDougal’s, you buy a drink, you buy another drink, and MacDougal himself will buy your third drink!”
The others agree that sounds like a nice place.
Then the Italian says, “Yeah, that’s a nice bar, but where I come from, there’s a better one. Over in Brooklyn, there’s this place, Vinny’s. At Vinny’s, you buy a drink, Vinny buys you a drink. You buy anudda drink, Vinny buys you anudda drink.”
Everyone agrees that sounds like a great bar.
Then the Polish guy says, “You think that’s great? Where I come from, there’s this place called Warshowski’s. At Warshowski’s, they buy you your first drink, they buy you your second drink, they buy you your third drink, and then they take you in the back and get you laid!”
Wow!” say the other two. “That’s fantastic! Did that actually happen to you?”
“No,” replies the Polish guy, “but it happened to my sister!”

 Dumbass Of The Day

Jessica Halter, an 18 year-old Ohio student, who assaulted a policeman, tried to kick a paramedic, and spewed a bloody ball of spit at one cop … at her high school prom. When authorities confronted Halter at her high school prom; she swore, denied drinking alcohol and cursed out the school’s principal and assistant principal. After refusing to take a Breathalyzer test, Halter attempted to swing a chair at cops, and then began smacking her forehead into the chair handle causing her nose to bleed. While being handcuffed, Halter began kicking, screaming, spitting and thrashing about. She was walked out of her prom screaming obscenities and then let her legs go limp, so officers had to carry the teen to a patrol car. That is when Halter cleared her throat and spit a bloody ball of spit at Officer Kyle Gelenius, whose name tag was ripped from his uniform by Halter during the confrontation. Seated in the back of the cruiser, Halter continued to spit blood on the windows, the divider, and the roof, and kicked the vehicle’s window.

72-year-old Sandra Powell, who careened across a highway at speeds in excess of 100 mph, nearly hitting another vehicle because she was late for a hair appointment. When Sgt. Richard Powers asked if she knew how fast she was going (in a 45 mph zone), Powell stated yes, that she was going 100 mph. Powell was booked into the county jail on a misdemeanor speeding violation. No word on if she rescheduled her hair appointment.

Hennepin County Minnesota jailers who accidentally placed the witness in a murder case in the same holding cell as the man he’d implicated. Murder suspect Jonathan Nicholas “Thirsty” Turner, 24, was charged with witness tampering along with previous first-degree murder charges. The criminal complaint against Turner, 24, does not name the beaten man and does not say why he was in jail, how he wound up in the same cell as Turner or how bad his injuries were. An affidavit by Hennepin County sheriff’s Detective Bernie Bogenreif said the two were mistakenly placed in the same cell after the witness had provided a taped statement implicating Turner in the killings.

Leroy Ray, 44, a Transportation Security Administration agent, who stole almost $500 from a wheelchair-bound woman passing through a security checkpoint at Newark Liberty International Airport. TSA surveillance cameras caught Ray taking money from a woman’s purse after the bag passed through an X-ray machine. Ray allegedly took the bag to another table to search it and removed an envelope containing $300 and then $195 in cash from inside a zipper pocket. The woman returned minutes later to tell agents that she was missing the money. Ray walked into a nearby office when the woman returned to the checkpoint and placed what appeared to be the envelope in a lost and found tray.
