Your Daily Adjustment

Adjusting your day….you bad, bad boy.

If You Missed It 5/20/2010

Chair Watch 2010
Day 1
So I’m calling out complete bulls&^t.  We have chairs in our studio.  Most of these chairs are old or holding together with super glue or about ready to fall apart.  I have a bad back and have had 3 major back surgeries so I can’t be on my feet for more then a few hours (hence why I work in radio).  Managment has told us that our studios are standing studios and there not going to buy us new chairs because aparently we break too many chairs.  Yes, we sit back here and try to break the chairs…..
Its complete bulls$%t so I’m starting Chair Watch 2010. I’ll count how many days it takes for people to get pissed at me and buy the on air staff new chairs.

Final chance tomorrow at 7:50am during The Morning Rokit on 94.1 The Rock, we’re going to play bass ackwards.  We’ll play a POM song….backwards and its your job to tell us what song it is to win POM/Adelitas Way tickets & meet and greets!

Sign up for Mobile Alerts presented by NVC today at HubCityRadio.com and choose the Rock Contests. Later TODAY we’re going to text out a way you can win tickets via text message.

Rusty and I are taking the show on the road TOMORROW from 7a-10a.  Literally, we’re doing The Morning Rokit from the Kesslers parking lot.  Stop by and buy one of our new pink Rockin’ For A Cure t-shirt and pink lemonade with all proceeds going towards Relay For Life.  Plus this will be one of your FINAL chances to buy Puddle Of Mudd tickets before the concert on Monday.

If you missed The Morning Rokit on 94.1 The Rock this morning, you missed……….

Joke Of The Day

A man told the ringmaster that he was interested in joining the circus as a lion tamer. The ringmaster asked if he had any experience and the man said, “Why, yes. My father was one of the most famous lion tamers in the world, and he taught me everything he knew.”
“Really?” said the ringmaster. “Did he teach you how to make a lion jump through a flaming hoop?”
“Yes he did,” the man replied.
“And did he teach you how to have six lions form a pyramid?”
“Yes he did,” the man replied.
“And have you ever stuck your head in a lion’s mouth?”
     “Just once,” the man replied.
The ringmaster asked, “Why only once?”
And the man said, “I was looking for my father.”

 Dumbass Of The DayToday’s FTW
Gregory Harrison, an Alabama geometry teacher, who used a hypothetical assassination plot on President Barack Obama as a way to teach geometry. Joseph Brown, a senior in the geometry class, told a local newspaper the teacher was talking about angles and said, “If you’re in this building, you would need to take this angle to shoot the president.” Roy Sexton, special agent in charge of Birmingham’s Secret Service office, said his agency spoke with the teacher after being told about his comment and said, “We did not find a credible threat.”

Matthew Brace, 24, who offered to trade his 3-month-old daughter to an employee at a gas station and convenience store in exchange for beer, or perhaps crack cocaine. When an employee of the store asked the couple about the age of their baby, Brace allegedly put his 3-month old daughter and her stroller into the employee’s truck. “For two 40s, you can have her.”
The man called police. The couple was later found at a nearby motel, where Brace was trying to hide the stroller behind a trash bin. The child’s mother, who was in the store at the time buying cigarettes, has not been charged.

John Wetzel, 33 who stabbed a bar owner over the volume of his juke box. Wetzel, threw an ashtray and became belligerent when the bar owner wouldn’t turn up the volume on the juke box. Buschena said a struggle ensued as Wetzel was being escorted outside and the bar owner was stabbed.

Jarrad McKay, 21, and Matthew Baker, 20, who splashed white paint on several cars in Boulder Colorado. Police had very little trouble finding the two. All they had to do was follow the trail of paint leading to the two who were found with paint residue on their bodies.
