Joke Of The Day
A couple of rednecks are out in the woods hunting when one of them suddenly grabs his chest and falls to the ground. He doesn’t seem to be breathing, and his eyes are rolled back in his head.
The other redneck whips out his cell phone and calls 911. He gasps to the operator, “I think Bubba is dead! What should I do?”
The operator, in a calm soothing voice says, “Just take it easy and follow my instructions. First, let’s make sure he’s dead.”
There is a silence… then a shot is heard.
The redneck’s voice comes back on the line, “Okay, now what?”
Dumbass Of The Day
Today’s Hero Award
A Tennessee police officer who let his department’s website domain expire, allowing an angry speeding ticket recipient to buy the domain and post a smiling cartoon police badge clutching green currency. Brian McCrary says he discovered the Bluff City, Tennessee, police department site was up for grabs, so he paid domain provider Go Daddy for the rights to BluffCityPD.com. McCrary, who says he received a $90 speeding citation earlier this year, took over the site that also posts gripes from others who’ve been cited.
Dr. Bernard Zaragoza, who performed a gallbladder operation but took out a healthy kidney by mistake. According a Florida medical review board, the 83-year-old patient he operated on had an unusual anatomy: His kidney was located where his gallbladder should have been. Zaragoza wasn’t inept or careless, he just had bad luck and cut the kidney out before discovering that it wasn’t the gall bladder. “I was completely mortified,” he said. “It’s a complication I never heard of, dreamed of, or imagined could happen.”
Christopher L. Bukowski, 39 who told officers, “Arrest me, I did it” when they arrived to investigate the report of a domestic dispute. According to the police report, while an officer gathered information, Bukowski said, “I choked her. If you were married, you would understand.”
